Cambridge Audio has just announced a new pair of truly wireless earbuds, the Melomania M100. These earbuds do come with Active Noise Cancelling, and great battery life as well.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 earbuds use 50% recycled plastic
Before we get to that, let’s talk about the design. Cambridge Audio used 50% recycled plastic in this build, and the earbuds are also shipping in plastic-free packaging. You can see the case and the earbuds in the provided images.
The case is flat on the sides, but not at the top and bottom. It’s not the smallest case around, but it can keep these earbuds charged up for quite some time. There are also three LED indicator lights included on the front.
They offer a 10-hour battery life with ANC enabled
Now, the Melomania M100 earbuds support Lossless Audio, and they offer 10-hour battery life on their own (with ANC on), without a case. Needless to say, that’s great battery life, even when compared to much more expensive pairs. If you turn the ANC off, you can go up to 16 hours.
Cambridge Audio also included a 10mm driver with neodymium magnets here and matched it with Class AB amplification. That is the same amplification that Cambridge’s CX Series hi-fi amplifiers are using.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless wireless tech is included
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless wireless tech is also included in the package. All of this should ensure really good sound quality. If you add ANC to the equation, things get even better. Cambridge opted for Qualcomm Adaptive ANC for these earbuds.
You can also utilize the Melomania Connect control app and a seven-band EQ that it offers. That will give you even more freedom to tune these earbuds to your liking.
