Man charged with attempted murder following auto crash in Parkesburg – Daily Local News


PARKESBURG—A Lancaster County man has been charged with attempted murder following an altercation involving a vehicle crash in Parkesburg.

Police have charged Clifford E. Wilson, 41 of West Lampeter Township., with criminal attempt homicide and related aggravating criminal charges after the Chester County District Attorney’s Office approved the filing of charges Aug 4.

On July 8, 2022, police were called to the scene of a serious automobile crash on South Alley at West Bridge Street. Arriving police discovered that the two-vehicle crash was the end-result of a car chase that began in Lancaster County ending in the borough with the ramming and serious beating of a 40-year-old male.

Police said Wilson and the 40-year-old male driver are well known to one another. Wilson, police said, reportedly beat the male with a hammer and his fists, causing serious facial fractures and extended hospitalization. Wilson’s alleged motives behind this incident are under investigation.

Wilson is being held at the Chester County Prison. Bail has been set at $500,000 cash and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled before MDJ Nancy Gill. Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to call Detective Rodney Discher at 610-857-3535.

West Chester

Fugitive from justice

On July 20 at 3:52 p.m., officers with West Chester Borough Police observed a vehicle being driven South on High Street. Upon running the registration, the vehicle came back as stolen out of New Jersey. A traffic stop was initiated in the 50 Block of West Union St. Officers were able to successfully place the driver, identified as Michael Tolkacz,  24, of Trenton, N.J., in custody. Tolkacz was transported back to West Chester Police Department where it was discovered that he had multiple outstanding warrants out of Trenton and Ewing, NJ, and Philadelphia. Tolkacz was charged with receiving stolen property, conspiracy, and fugitive from justice. Tolkacz was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment.

Stolen vehicle

On July 20 at approximately 3:52 p.m., officers with West Chester Borough Police observed a vehicle being driven South on High St. Upon running the registration, the vehicle came back as stolen out of Ewing TWP., New Jersey. A traffic stop was initiated in the 50 Block of W. Union St. Officers were able to successfully place the passenger, identified as Tawanye Powell-Travis, 24, of Riverside, N.J., in custody. Powell-Travis was transported back to West Chester Police Department, processed, and transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment.

Propulsion of missiles

On July 29, an investigation began into an air gun fight that occurred in the 100 block of E. Market Street. As a result of that investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Shabazz Ray, 43, of West Chester, for propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle or onto a roadway. On Aug. 3 at 3:03 p.m., officers of the West Chester Police Department served the arrest warrant in the 50 block of S. Matlack Street. Ray resisted officers during the arrest and was found to be in possession of Cocaine once in custody. Ray was transported to the West Chester Police Station where he was processed and later transported to the Chester County Prison.

West Whiteland

Credit card theft

The West Whiteland Township Police Department is investigating a theft of a wallet. A 65-year-old female was dining when the wallet was stolen. Two suspects then used the credit cards from the wallet to make purchases at the Target store in Exton.

Oxford

Benich warrant

On July 1, 2022 at 1:44 am the Oxford Police were conducting a search of the area of Wheeler Blvd for a subject that fled on foot from Officers when they made contact with Amanda Norris, 39, of Oxford, who was confirmed to have an active Chester County Bench Warrant. Norris was placed into custody and transported by Constables to Chester County Prison.

Domestic

On July 31, 2022 at 9:46 a.m., the Oxford Police were dispatched to the Unit Blk South Third Street for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival Officers made contact with a female victim who stated that the actor, Jorge Davila, 23, of Oxford, had struck her multiple times and had thrown her to the floor. The victim did have injuries that were consistent with her statement. Davila was taken into custody a short time later and transported by Constables to Chester County Prison.

Westtown-East Goshen

Warrant

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police currently holds an active arrest warrant for Raymond Silva-Bledsoe. Members from Criminal Investigative Division, with the assistance of Haverford Township Police, identified Raymond as one of the suspects seen committing a theft on July 18th, 2022 at the Giant Food Store located in Thornbury Township, Chester County.
