POCO’s new phone, the POCO F6, is starting to reveal its specs. Following Xiaomi’s announcement of the CIVI 4 Pro, other smartphones with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 are expected to be launched. Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO is preparing to announce the POCO F6. This device will be the 2nd model to feature Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

POCO F6 specs leaked

Before POCO announced the new F6, some information had already surfaced. A report that the smartphone was initially expected to be unveiled in China was announced by GSMChina. Now, the Android Headlines team is exploring the camera and display specs of the POCO F6.

Everyone knows that the device has the codename “peridot” and the internal model number “N16T“. We expect the new POCO model to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor on the back, just like the Realme 12 Pro 5G. We came to this conclusion after analyzing the HyperOS source code in detail.

In addition, the POCO F6 will feature an 8MP Sony IMX355 UW sensor. With this ultra-wide-angle sensor, you will be able to take wide photos to cover more area. It is not yet clear whether the macro lens, which was in the previous generation POCO F5, will be in the POCO F6.

Maybe there are some missing features in the camera libs. There may be different possibilities. It might be possible for the POCO F6 to be launched with a dual camera system. Because usually, the cameras are not very good in mid-range smartphones and users already know that the number of cameras is not an important factor for taking a good photo. POCO F6 processor specs

We confirm that the POCO F6 will have the SM8635 SOC. The Mi Code clearly shows the processor and the POCO F6 should be the 2nd model with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3. Qualcomm officially announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 on March 18.

In fact, this SOC is a lower clockspeed version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The new 8s Gen 3 shows similar results compared to the previous flagship 8 Gen 2 chip. The 8s Gen 3 is a pretty good processor in ISP, Modem and many other areas, all the features are exciting. POCO F6 will have this processor, which shows that the new phone will be highly appreciated.

On the display side, the POCO F6 will use display panels from two different manufacturers: TCL and Tianma. Mi Code confirms that the POCO F6 will use panels from two major display manufacturers. While the exact display specs are unclear, we expect it to offer features similar to those of the previous POCO F5. The most significant difference between the smartphones will be on the processor side. Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 is a mighty SOC.

As for the launch date of this expected POCO model, it is rumored to be officially introduced between April and May. POCO F6 will be unveiled in many markets other than Japan.
