CSX Transportation acquires 3.6 acres in Curtis Bay for $1.85M – Maryland Daily Record

CSX Transportation, a supplier of rail-based freight transportation in North America, purchased a 3.6-acre parcel of land in Curtis Bay for $1.85 million with plans to use the property as a small industrial and logistics site, it was announced Thursday.

The property at 1920 Benhill Ave., which includes two buildings totaling approximately 23,000 square feet of space, was formerly owned by USALCO. CSX Transporation intends to demolish the existing buildings for future needs.

Andrew Meeder, SIOR, senior vice president/princial and David McClatchy, vice president for MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, the real estate brokerage arm of The MacKenzie Companies, represented the seller in this transaction. CSX Transportation was self-represented in the transaction.

The site is within close proximity to Interstates 97, 695 and 895 in south Baltimore.
