BrandPost: A New Chapter of Industrial Digitalisation and Intelligent Transformation

Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption are quickly becoming imperative for businesses and organisations to stay competitive in today’s globalised landscape. According to Foundry’s Digital Business Study 2023,  93% of organisations have adopted or plan to adopt a digital-first business strategy, while a third of IT leaders are actively researching AI for their digital platforms.

Advancements in AI have reached an inflection point. Over the next few years, AI will be deeply integrated into more than half of core industrial scenarios.

Li Peng, Corporate Senior Vice President, President of ICT Sales & Service, Huawei, said, “From the information age to the digitalisation age, each transformation has brought huge possibilities. Now, we’re entering an intelligent world, and the best way to predict the future is to create it. Huawei will double our efforts to offer more intelligent digital infrastructure products and solutions that accelerate the intelligent transformation of industries. We will work hard to be a reliable partner for others on this journey.”

But digital and intelligent transformation remains challenging for many industries and organisations, hampered by tight budgets, competing priorities, and insufficient IT staff with the right skills.

To embrace the intelligent world, Huawei believes that the industrial digitalisation is a key step. Now, as industrial digitalisation enters the deep-water zone, Leo Chen, President of Enterprise Sales, Huawei, pointed out that, we must manage data “computing, transmission, and storage” power in a coordinated manner, integrate the data from different scenarios into one unified cloud data foundation, and reach more traditional industries and core businesses, so as to support many industry customers on their digitalisation journey and embrace the intelligent world.

Accelerating Transformation Across Industries

MWC 2024 in Barcelona saw Huawei launching a series of flagship products and solutions built around industry needs to meet customer requirements in different scenarios, helping customers achieve digital and intelligent transformation by phase.

To help overcome these challenges, Huawei is developing industrial digital and intelligent transformation solutions for different industries. By innovating in collaboration with a broad spectrum of partners, it hopes to accelerate digital transformation and adoption of intelligent solutions across industries to improve efficiency, productivity, sustainability, and resilience.

For large-scale industrial customers with diversified services and complex scenarios, Huawei launched ten industrial digital and intelligent solutions. For example, the Smart Classroom 3.0 creates a smart teaching system that enables flexible, personalised teaching and accurate, efficient teaching management, resulting in end-to-end intelligence. Meanwhile, the Medical Technology Digitalisation Solution focuses on pathology and medical imaging and is being rolled out to optimise healthcare processes across the range of medical fields with the goal of improving efficiency and quality of diagnosis and treatment while ensuring data security. It leverages distributed storage, cloud, and big data to build efficient, collaborative, and intelligent image reading and diagnosis modes.

Huawei is also supporting intelligent transformation for transport. Airports stand to benefit from the Smart Airport Fully Connected Fibre Network Solution, which offers a fully connected fibre network that is reliable, agile, simplified, and sustainable alongside powerful network support for intelligent airport applications.

In the electric power sector, Huawei has launched the Intelligent Power Distribution Solution (IDS), collaborating with ecosystem partners to develop the solution, which addresses high line loss, poor reliability, and heavy pressure on new energy load management. It enables electric power enterprises to transition from single-point digitalisation to architecture-supported, open, evolvable, and systematic digitalisation.

These solutions mentioned above are just a few instances. In addition, Huawei remains committed to innovation and building leading ICT products to meet evolving customer needs. Huawei has launched new flagship products in data communications, optical network, data storage, and lightweight converged O&M.

Accelerating Intelligent Transformation for SMEs

Huawei values collaboration with partners as a key ingredient for mutual success, and this includes extensive partnerships with small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Besides industry-focused solutions, Huawei has also developed an extensive range of scenario-specific solutions that feature cost-effectiveness and ease of employment for SMEs.

Addressing the needs of small- and medium-sized customers with relatively simple business scenarios, Huawei leverages its leading practices in collaboration with partners to build open, lightweight, scenario-specific solutions featuring high cost-effectiveness, differentiated leadership, and serviceability. This initiative helps SMEs achieve their digital and intelligent transformation goals, with over 30 scenario-based solutions developed in collaboration with partners.

For the extensive small and micro-sized customers with simple scenarios, the HUAWEI eKit brand launched in 2023 provides a series of products that are easy for SMEs to buy, sell, install, maintain, learn, and use, and are suitable for offices, small hotels, schools, stores, clinics and small hospitals, restaurants and many more.

In total, Huawei launched 24 new products and solutions for the commercial market and 12 new HUAWEI eKit products for the distribution market to assist SMEs worldwide in digital transformation and intelligent upgrade.

Conclusion

As of end-2023, Huawei has more than 40,000 partners in the enterprise market worldwide, working together to develop more digital and intelligent solutions and transform industries.
