Xiaomi’s custom smartphone chip, the XRING O1, will officially launch on May 22. Last week, the company’s co-founder, Lei Jun, officially announced its existence and the launch timeframe. Now, we have the names of devices powered by the XRING O1 chipset, which includes a brand-new Xiaomi tablet.
The XRING O1 chipset will power Xiaomi’s new tablet
The XRING O1 chipset will power the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra. It’s the company’s next-gen tablet whose specifications have already been leaked. Per the leaks, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will sport a 14-inch OLED display and come with keyboard and pen support to maximize productivity.
Speaking of design, the bezels around are quite thin, measuring 3.95mm, while the thickness of Xiaomi’s XRING O1-powered device is 5.1mm. For the uninitiated, that’s the same thickness as Apple’s 13-inch M4 iPad Pro.
Tablets usually come with a bigger battery, and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra will be no different. It packs a huge 12,000 mAh battery with 120W charging support.

The upcoming smartphone will also include the new processor under the hood
Besides the upcoming tablet, Xiaomi’s XRING O1 chip will also be powering another device, the Xiaomi 15S Pro. The information came via an Indian tipster, Abhishek Yadav, who posted the first look of the device on X. The images show the back design of the alleged Xiaomi 15S Pro, standing upright on a phone holder stand with a Xiaomi executive beside it.
If you take a close look, you can actually see the mention of XRING branding right below the flashlight available at the right of the rear camera module. It’s a clear indication that the device will feature Xiaomi’s new XRING O1 chip.
The company will most likely unveil both devices alongside the XRING O1 chipset soon. Moreover, recently leaked Geekbench test results also suggested that the Xiaomi-made chipset performs incredibly well in the multi-core tests.
