Woman struck by car in Roy crosswalk in city's string of auto-pedestrian crashes – KUTV


A woman was struck by a car while walking in a crosswalk — Roy’s third reported auto-pedestrian crash in just over two weeks.

Officers with the Roy Police Department responded to the scene near 1900 West 4000 South just after 3:40 p.m. on Friday.

A woman in her late 20s was walking in a crosswalk. At the same time, a 70-year-old man turned west onto 4400 South and struck the woman, police said.

Due to the car’s low speed, the woman sustained minor injuries. She was transported to an area hospital.

The driver reportedly remained at the scene and was cooperating.

No impairment or distraction was suspected.
