A SHOCKING video shows the moment a driver gets it very wrong and nearly kills a nearby pedestrian.
The video, captured on an exterior CCTV system, shows an Audi trying to pass a recovery truck on a quiet residential street.
The dramatic clip was originally posted to the Facebook group Major/Minor Crimes In Batley Dewsbury & Kirklees.
The incident is believed to have taken place in West Yorkshire and happened in 2020, but has recently re-emerged online.
The CCTV footage shows the man walking along a pavement with his shopping as a recovery truck drives past.
Suddenly a black Audi looks as if it’s trying to go for an overtake before misjudging the gap and smashing into it.
The smash sends the Audi spinning in the air and it clatters against a lamp post before flipping over.

The man hears the smash and looks behind to see an Audi spiraling towards him.
He drops his bags and runs away as the car does another somersault before coming to a thudding stop with the beep of a horn.
A hand can be seen moving in the passenger seat as the truck driver and residents come to inspect the damage.
There was no sympathy for the driver in the comments section of the post.

However, many are just relieved the pedestrian escaped unscathed.
