Vivo's flagship X Fold 3 Pro spotted on BIS, may launch in India

Vivo is no stranger to high-performance, camera-first flagships. In fact, we recently reviewed the company’s X100 Pro Android phone and were mighty impressed with its cameras and performance. Needless to say, the company has a penchant for making outlandish devices that score big in more than one department. And, per 91Mobiles’ recent report, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro may also launch in India soon.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro spotted on the BIS website

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was recently launched in China. According to 91mobiles, the device has received BIS certification in India. For the uninitiated, BIS certification is mandatory for products launched in India to ensure they adhere to various safety and quality standards. The X Fold 3 Pro was spotted online with the model number V2330, signaling an imminent launch in India.

Additionally, the device was also spotted on Indonesian Telecom portals. As such, we can expect the device to launch in several markets outside China. To recap, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is the thinnest and lightest foldable on the market. So much so, HONOR’s Magic V2 can’t hold a candle to the flagship either. To give you a better picture, the foldable weighs 231 grams and measures just 4.8mm when unfolded.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro specifications

Unlike the X100 Pro, which was fuelled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC, the X Fold 3 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It also comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which works in tandem with either 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. For displays, the smartphone features an 8.03-inch inner display with a 2,480×2,200 pixels resolution. The outer display, on the other hand, measures 6.53 inches.

More notably, both screens utilize AMOLED LTPO technology and refresh at 120Hz. For cameras, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 64MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. All cameras come equipped with Zeiss’ T* coating, which purportedly improves the visible light transmission rate, thereby improving image quality.

As for the pricing, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro starts at CNY9,999 (approx. Rs 1,15,030 for the launch in India) for the 512GB model. It’ll be interesting to see how Vivo positions the X Fold 3 Pro launch in a price-sensitive market like India.
