TxDOT to host virtual meeting for Rural Transportation Improvement Program – KFDA


AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Texas Department of Transportation officials will host a virtual meeting on Wednesday to discuss area transportation projects.

The virtual meeting will information regarding the 2025-2028 Rural Transportation Improvement Program or Rural TIP within the Amarillo District. The district includes Armstrong, Carson, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Gray, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham, Potter, Randall, Roberts and Sherman Counties.

According to a press release, the project includes all added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded withing a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding.

The meeting will offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed properties.

TxDOT officials say the Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program or STIP.

The online meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m. To find the online meeting, officials say to use the keyword search “2025-2028 Amarillo Rural TIP.”
