We are now tracking a notable chance to save on the Apple Find My-equipped FlashFinder from Footnote Accessories Co. – a small keychain-ready flashlight with built-in Find My. After seeing some launch deals in the $24 territory after going hands-on back in January, this one has largely remained at the full $29 list price ever since. The FlashFinder is a small miniature flashlight designed to easily slide into your EDC or around your keychain. It sports a concealed USB-C port to recharge the internal battery that runs the illumination action and the Apple Find My tech. All things considered the flashlight is actually brighter than I thought it would be and it features ten lighting modes – blinking, dimming, siren mode with red and blue LEDs, and more.
As far as the Find My action goes, it works exactly like every other third-party implementation. You quickly add it to the Find My app on your iPhone, name it, and it’s ready to start tracking anything it is attached to. You can make the onboard speaker chime from your phone as well as trigger the onboard siren lighting.
