Just last month, Apple announced the new MacBook Air with the M3 chipset, and today, Amazon is taking 10% off of the regular price. Bringing it down to $989 (that’s a $110 savings). That’s not a bad price at all for Apple’s latest and greatest lightweight laptop.
The MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops in the world, and with the M3 chipset inside, it’s also one of the most powerful for its price point. The M3 may not be a big upgrade over the M2, but Apple does still have a pretty big lead over the competition in that space. However, it is definitely a big upgrade for the Intel-based MacBooks.
With this M3 MacBook Air, you’re getting 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Yes, I agree we should get more than 8GB of RAM in a 2024 laptop. Especially since this RAM cannot be upgraded and is also used for the GPU, unfortunately, though, the 16GB model is not on sale right now. It is still priced at $1,499.
Apple sells the MacBook Air with M3 in four colors: Space Gray, Silver, Midnight, and Starlight. This year, the finish on the MacBook Air should be less prone to fingerprints when compared to the M2 models. Previously, the MacBook Air models were really bad for showing fingerprints, especially on the Midnight version.
