Song Chiyul Best Builds
In this section, you’ll find two recommended builds for Song Chiyul.
The first build shows you the best possible Weapons and Artifacts for Song Chiyul, while the second offers some great alternatives that are fantastic for beginner players or those who cannot fully replicate his best build.
Attack Build
Song Chiyul is a Fire-element Mage whose damage output scales from his Attack stat. When gearing him up, his stat priorities should be Attack > MP > Defense Penetration.
Best Weapon
Weapon | Effects |
Still Got It |
Increases the user’s Fire damage by 2%*. When using Basic Skill or Core Attack, increases damage dealt to Non-Boss Monster by 2% for 10 seconds (stacking up to 5 times). |
Song Chiyul’s best Weapon is Still Got It, which increases his scaling stat (ATK) and improves his utility as an attacker by giving his team additional DoTs (Damage-Over-Time) damage.
NOTE: SSR Weapons (i.e. Exclusive Weapons) for SR Hunters like Song Chiyul are currently unavailable in Solo Leveling: Arise, as you cannot get them from any source yet. Consider using Song Chiyul’s Alternative Weapon that’s mentioned further below until you’re able to get his Exclusive Weapon!
Best Artifacts
Artifacts | Effects |
(4) Destroyer |
Equip 2 Pieces: Increases Power Gauge Acquisition Rate by 20%. Equip 4 Pieces: When the battle starts, charge the user’s Power Gauge by 50% and also increase the user and their team members’ Power Gauge Acquisition Rate by an additional 20%. |
(4) Outstanding Connection |
Equip 2 Pieces: When tagging out, increase the Attack of you and your team members by 12% for 10 seconds. (Cooldown: 20 seconds). Equip 4 Pieces: Increases Attack effect to 28% and duration to 15 seconds. |
Song Chiyul deals an impressive DPS for an SR Hunter once he’s built well. Thanks to his Burn effect, which scales from his ATK, he is an ideal DoT (Damage over time) Team member. Equipping him with Destroyer increases his power gauge acquisition, granting him a quick build-up to his Ultimate, which increases his Burn damage effect.
Since Song Chiyul scale from ATK, Outstanding Connection would be a good accessory set as it increases the user and their team members’ ATK. Boosting his DMG output further.
Alternative Build
For those who can’t get their hands on the exclusive weapon and the artifacts mentioned above, here are some alternative options that are easier to get.
Alternative Weapon
Weapon | Effects |
Steel Bow |
The user’s Critical Hit Damage increases by 9%*. |
The next best weapon for Song Chiyul would be a Steel Bow (SR), which allows him to hit harder once CRIT lands. Consider using Bow (R) or Steel Dagger (SR or R) as your Song Chiyul’s alternative weapon as well, especially if you don’t have Steel Bow at a high enough Advancement Level.
Alternative Artifacts
Artifacts | Effects |
(4) Solid Foundation |
Equip 2 Pieces: Increases the user’s Basic Attack damage by 18% Equip 4 Pieces: Increases the user’s Core Attack damage by 18% and when an attack hits, charges the user’s Core Gauge by 60. |
(4) Outstanding Connection |
Equip 2 Pieces: When tagging out, increases the Attack of you and your team members by 12% for 10 second(s) (Cooldown: 20 seconds). Equip 4 Pieces: Increases Attack Increase effect to 28% and duration to 15 second(s). |
Solid Foundation is a good alternative if you don’t have Destroyer. As Song Chiyul’s playstyle revolves around his Core, especially against enemies with the burn effect, Solid Foundation increases his damage and charges the gauge once the attack hits. If Solid Foundation is unavailable, opt for Armed, which increases his ATK by 5% and ignores the target’s DEF.
