Razer's new Blade 14 packs RTX 5070 performance into a super-thin chassis

Razer just announced the launch of the new Razer Blade 14 this morning, powered by NVIDIA’s RTX 50-Series GPUs and sporting a few noteworthy visual and hardware upgrades. The new Blade 14 is also Razer’s thinnest version of the laptop yet, shaving off precious millimeters of the chassis to give gamers something ultra-portable and still powerful enough to play their favorite games. Granted, the Blade 15 isn’t going to outclass the Blade 16 when it comes to gaming performance, but it’s always been the best choice for gamers who are more concerned with portability and an overall smaller machine.

According to Razer, the new Blade 14 measures in at just 15.7mm at its slimmest point. It also weighs just 3.59 lbs, making it a very light laptop to carry around in your bag. And because it’s only a 14-inch laptop, it should fit in just about any bag or backpack you have with a laptop pocket.

Despite the laptop’s thinness, Razer didn’t skimp on connectivity options with the Blade 14. It comes with a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. There’s also a Kensington lock slot if you need or want that. Razer also says the 2025 Blade 14 features a new thermal hood design to ensure good ventilation and optimal performance.

The Razer Blade will launch with up to an NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPU

Razer always impresses with its excellent engineering, managing to stuff a lot of performance power into a small and thin laptop chassis. The new Razer Blade 14 is no different, coming with two GPU configurations to suit your preferences. You can get the new Blade 14 with either an RTX 5060 GPU or the RTX 5070 if you want a little more power.

Like all of Razer’s laptop options these days, which GPU you pick will also dictate how much storage and RAM you can get. For example, going with the RTX 5070 GPU will give you the option of 1TB or 2TB of storage. Whichever amount you pick, though, will have an impact on how much RAM you get. 1TB only comes with 32GB of RAM, while the 2TB model only comes with 64GB of RAM. Likewise, the RTX 5060 model only has 1TB as a storage option with 16GB of RAM. Both models come powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU, and both feature the QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. You can also only get the new Blade 14 in the Mercury color if you go with the RTX 5070 model. Otherwise, it’s the classic Razer Black.

Users can expect up to 11 hours of on-screen time

To be completely clear, this isn’t based on how much time you can spend gaming without the laptop being plugged in. Razer told us that the 11 hours is based on video streaming and general use. Obviously, the battery life will be affected by certain factors even if you’re not gaming. For example, the Razer Chroma backlit keyboard is going to drain your battery more, as will the brightness of the display. So adjusting those things will help you get the most out of it. If you’re gaming, you’ll want to keep the laptop plugged in.

In terms of pricing, the Blade 14 starts at $2,299.99 for the RTX 5060 model, and the RTX 5070 model starts at $2,699.99. If you bump up to 64GB of RAM, the price jumps a little further to $2,999.99. Razer is also launching a new Blade 16 SKU that comes with the RTX 5060, which starts at $2,399.99.
