Guest post by Snoqualmie Valley Transportation

If you’re considering making some extra income on the weekend, say $1,200+ per month, think about Snoqualmie Valley Transportation.

The valley-wide bus service, a Mt. Si Senior Center project, is now hiring for part-time weekend shifts. Interested applicants should visit www.svtbus.org for details right away.

“We’ll be ramping up quickly, so we will be fully staffed for the start of weekend service in July,” explained SVT Director Amy Biggs. “All our new hires will go through full training to make sure they are successful.”

Beginning weekend service will be a big addition to local bus service, which residents have requested for many years.

SVT needs eight drivers and two call-takers for Saturday-Sunday shifts on both the Valley Shuttle and the demand-response service, plus a relief driver and two full-time dispatchers.

All positions are hourly, starting at a minimum of $24.79 and increasing to a minimum of $25.31 after 90 days of employment. There are scheduled annual increases and cost-of-living adjustments.

Hours are specific to each position; find all job descriptions at https://svtbus.org/weekend-service-job-openings.

Snoqualmie Valley Transportations is supported by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA) funding. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
