A car accident on Sunday closed a portion of I-40 in Raleigh after the car flipped over.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the crash happened around 2:57 p.m. on I-40 westbound near Rock Quarry Road.
Police told WRAL News the a vehicle overturned on the interstate and minor injuries were reported.
At least three lanes of traffic were closed on I-40 near the Rock Quarry Road exit, but reopened around 40 minutes after the crash.
It is unclear what caused the car to flip over.
