OnePlus has quietly announced two new extremely powerful smartphones, which most of you won’t be able to buy, unfortunately. The devices in question are the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition and Ace 5 Racing Edition.
These two smartphones have been announced in China, and they’re joining the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which arrived back in December last year. Unlike those two phones, which use Snapdragon chips, these two use MediaTek’s Dimensity processors.
These two OnePlus phones are true beasts, and are gaming-focused… to a degree
Before we get down to spec details, let’s talk about their designs. The two phones look basically the same, save for the color variants and the camera setup on the back. The ‘Ultra Edition’ has a bigger camera island as the LED flash sits inside it. It also has a better camera setup.
Both phones include a flat display, flat backplate, and a flat frame all around. A centered display camera hole its on the front, while the power/lock and volume up and down buttons sit on the right side. The ‘Ultra Edition’ model also has a shortcut key on the left side.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition is more powerful and has the ‘Esports Triple-Chip’ setup

OnePlus designed both of these phones to cater to mobile gamers, to a degree. The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition is equipped with the ‘Esports Triple-Chip’, as OnePlus refers to it. That includes the Dimensity 9400+ chip, Lingxi touch-control chip, and the gaming-focused Wi-Fi chip G1.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition comes with a built-in ‘Glacier Cooling System’ which provides 7,300 mm² VC cooling area and 4,000 mm² back cover cooling area.

A 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor size, Sony IMX906 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, OIS) sits on the back, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture).
The device does include an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and stereo speakers. A 6,700mAh battery is included, and 100W SuperVOOC fast charging is supported. The device measures 163.41 x 77.04 x 8.10mm, weighs 206 grams, and comes in Burning Titanium, Phantom Black, and Breeze Blue colors.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition has the ‘Fengchi gaming kernel’

The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, on the other hand, is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor. It has a self-developed ‘Fengchi gaming kernel’ with 1% Low frame interruption and native 120 frames game performance.
A Glacier cooling system is included with a huge 29,772mm² heat dissipation area, and a 7,000+mm² Super VC.
