We just got word on a completely new and innovative product from OnePlus… Well actually, it’s neither of those things. This new product is basically a repackaged version of a recently released device but with a new name. According to a new report, OnePlus will release the OnePlus Watch 2 Lifestyle Edition. Along with that, we also got word that the OnePlus Pad Go will be making it to other markets.
The OnePlus Watch 2 launched not too long ago, and it received much more favorable reviews compared to the OnePlus Watch released back in 2021. While the majority of reviewers did have their reservations about the watch, people felt that it was a massive and pleasant step forward for the company. OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Watch 2 Lifestyle Edition
What will make this device different from the original version? Well, your guess is as good as ours. Right now, information on this new watch is very scarce. We don’t know if OnePlus is going to use any different hardware or software with this smartwatch.
For all we know, the watch may bring a new design. As far as visuals go, the only thing we have to go off of is a very light teaser image. It just shows the side of the watch with its interesting-looking barrel.
Can we expect a cheaper model?
This is just speculation, but it would be interesting if the Lifestyle Edition was just a trimmed-down version of the standard OnePlus Watch 2. The original OnePlus Watch launched at $150, and it really undercut much of the competition. The OnePlus Watch 2 costs $299; that’s double the price of the original. While $300 is very reasonable for a flagship smartwatch, it’s still a hefty price to pay.
So, who knows if OnePlus could launch a cheaper version of the OnePlus Watch 2? If it does, then we would expect it to launch at around $199. Again, this is only speculation.
OnePlus is launching the OnePlus Pad Go more markets
Last year, OnePlus launched its first mid-range tablet. Named the OnePlus Pad Go, this tablet closely resembled the original OnePlus Pad (Review) that launched earlier in 2023. However, rather than the powerful Dimensity 9000 SOC, it used the Helio G99 processor. Also, the display saw a drop in the resolution and refresh rate. Overall, it was a pretty solid device.
Well, the OnePlus Pad Go will launch in Europe starting on April 23rd. Previously, the device was available only in India.
