One person dead after auto-pedestrian collision in Taylor – KEYE


Taylor Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian collision that killed one person Thursday afternoon.

According to police, they received a call reporting the crash at 4:03 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2013 Subaru, driven by 22-year-old Brynn Trovinger of Jarrell, entered the intersection in the 3700 block of N Main St. when it failed to yield right of way and struck the victim.

The victim was identified as 59-year-old Ramona Palvas of Taylor. Palvas was walking East in the crosswalk of the intersection of the street when the collision occurred, and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This is the first fatal collision in Taylor this year. The investigation is ongoing.
