MCCOLL, S.C. (WPDE) — Kelly Outlaw, daughter of McColl Mayor Robert Outlaw, was arrested on Thursday by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office after a string of threatening messages were sent through Facebook Messenger.
Deputies said a Facebook news post initiated a dispute. Kelly Outlaw then sent 40 messages, including audio messages, regarding the McColl town government disputes.

Robert Outlaw said he has not spoken to his daughter about the incident at this time, and does not yet “know all the facts.”
He said that until he can speak with her, he will not be able to comment on the incident further.
Kelly Outlaw is charged with unlawful communication and assault by intimidation/assault & battery in the third degree.
She was apprehended at her residence. During the arrest, deputies said Kelly Outlaw “also threatened to inflict bodily harm on the victim in the presence of investigators executing the arrest.”
She was transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center, where she awaits a bond hearing at a later time.
