Leapmotor delivers 41,039 cars in Apr, its 2nd highest ever – CnEVPost


  • That monthly deliveries were up 173.50 percent year-on-year and up 10.63 percent from March.

Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) saw strong deliveries last month, following the launch of its new B10 compact SUV (sport utility vehicle).

The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker delivered 41,039 units in April, its second highest ever, behind December 2024’s 42,517 units.

That monthly delivery was up 173.50 percent from 15,005 a year ago and up 10.63 percent from 37,095 in March.

So far this year, Leapmotor has delivered 128,591 vehicles, up 165.60 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

At the end of April, Leapmotor’s cumulative deliveries since inception stood at 728,139 vehicles.

The Chinese NEV maker, backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA), launched the all-electric B10 on April 10, with a starting price of RMB 99,800 ($13,730).

The B10, the first model in the B-series, received 10,016 firm orders an hour after launch, Leapmotor announced shortly after the model’s launch.

On April 19, Leapmotor announced that deliveries of the B10 had officially begun.

On April 28, Leapmotor said the 10,000th B10 rolled off the line, 16 days after the model’s launch.

In addition to the B10, Leapmotor is showcasing the B01, the electric sedan that is the second model in its B-series, at the ongoing Shanghai auto show.

Yesterday, Leapmotor began accepting pre-orders for the B10, although pricing information was not released.

In a media interview on March 10, Leapmotor management said it was confident it would see monthly sales of more than 40,000 units of the B-series models.

Leapmotor’s sales target for 2025 is 500,000 to 600,000 units, its founder, chairman and CEO, Zhu Jiangming, said on March 11.

The company delivered 293,724 vehicles in 2024, up 103.76 percent from 2023.

Leapmotor’s current main seller is the C-Series, which includes the C01 sedan, as well as the C10, C11, and C16 SUVs. It also has a compact EV, the T03.

Leapmotor’s founder and his concert parties increased their stake in the company by HK$316 million ($40.7 million) in April.
