while trying to purchase anything today, don’t worry; you’re not alone. Apple Pay seems to be facing a significant outage in the US.

According to downtector.com, a website that tracks outages, reports began surfacing at around 11:30am ET that Apple Pay was not functioning. Initially, there were 1,600 reports at that time. As of 12:30am, the number has increased to over 3,000.

Apple’s System Status page in the US indicates that Apple Pay is encountering issues. Pocket-lint’s managing editor, Amanda Kondolojy, is experiencing problems with Apple Pay. When she attempted to send money using it, it failed, with Apple Pay stating the recipient “Cannot receive payments sent with Apple Cash at this time.”
