Inside £50k DS X E-Tense supercar that’s completely asymmetrical – and it has a very scary feature

A TIKTOK star has given fans a sneak peak inside the new DS X E-Tense supercar – which has a terrifying feature.

The car’s glass floor lets you see the ground as you zoom along at top speeds.

Supercarblondie took to TikTok to show the vehicle from French brand DS to her 11.5 million followers.

One half of the motor is designed to be driven with a conventional steering wheel and pedals.

The other section is an entirely separate compartment for you to sit in if your car is in self-drive mode.

It has a fold-out passenger seat for you to bring someone else along for the ride.

DS says the X E-Tense is a preview of the types of cars we may be buying in 2035.

DS’s design director Thierry Metroz told Autoexpress: “We designed it like this because we wanted to emphasise the dual purpose nature.

“The X E-Tense is all-electric and it’s fully autonomous too, but we think people will still want to drive.”

This electric car is a “fanciful vision of what cars could be like in the future,” Autoexpress said.

They added: “On a practical level the X E-Tense is a tangible link to DS’s efforts in the world of Formula E, as beneath the wacky concept it’s based on the firm’s Formula E racer.

“But on a simply amusing level, it’s a well-made, exciting idea of not just a car of the future, but also where the fledgling DS brand is heading.”
