How to Reroll in Wuthering Waves (Step-By-Step)
One reroll session in Wuthering Waves can take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes, provided you follow the steps shown below:
Step #1: Make Multiple Emails
Unfortunately, aside from switching servers, there is no other way to reset your progress quickly on one account in Wuthering Waves, so you’ll have to set aside some time to create multiple emails and use those emails to create new accounts for enrolling.
Out of all the login options, we recommend making Gmail accounts, as creating a new Gmail account takes only around two minutes and you can also use these Gmail accounts to reroll in other games.
Step #2: Complete the Tutorial
Once you’ve prepared your emails (we recommend making at least 5 Gmail accounts so you don’t run out while rerolling), it’s time to finish the tutorial.
If you want your reroll sessions to proceed faster, remember to skip all dialogues and cutscenes whenever you can! Not all dialogues and cutscenes can be skipped, but you can still spam “Continue” to move some of them along faster.
Once the Main Quest leads you to the Huaxu Academy in Jinzhou and you finish the training simulation quest given by Baizhi, you’ll unlock Convene and finally be able to pull for characters in the Novice Convene.
However, if you want to get more pulling resources aside from the ones you get from the mail, you’ll have to play through the Main Quests and unlock Events. This can be done within 3 to 5 minutes after you unlock the Convene feature, so just do it!
Next, try to reach Resonance Level 5 so you can claim the free 5 Luminous Tides from the Awakening Journey Event.
You’ll be at Resonance Level 4 upon unlocking the Events feature, so all you have to do is either play the Main Quests a bit more or get Resonance EXP another way, like opening chests or activating Resonance Nexus/Beacons along the way.
Now this step is optional, but if you want 1 Luminous Tide and 50 Astrites for extra pulls, make sure to complete the Relic Merchant Tutorial Quest, which is readily available after unlocking Events.
All you have to do is deliver the Resonance Cascet you obtained during the tutorial to the Relic Merchant and he’ll give you the rewards!
TIP: You can use the Stonewall Bracer’s Echo Skill to move around the map a little bit faster to shave off some time from each reroll session. All players get this Echo during the tutorial.
Step #3: Claim All Free Astrites and Tides from Your Mail & Events
Before you do your pulls in the Novice Convene, make sure you’ve claimed every single gacha-pulling resource listed below from your Mail, ongoing Events:
- Astrite
- Radiant Tides
- Luminous Tides
- Forging Tides
Every Astrite and Tide counts, so make sure to check not just the Mail and Events, but also other in-game features for free gacha-pulling resources!
TIP: Make sure to keep track of active codes for Wuthering Waves and redeem them for more Tides or Astrites to use during your rerolls!
Step #4: Pull on the Novice Convene
Once you’ve gathered all the free Astrite and Tides, you can proceed to the Novice Convene Banner and start pulling. Here are the Novice Convene’s rates for characters and weapons depending on their rarity:

Why the Novice Convene?
The Novice Convene gives you a random 5★ character and is accessible by all beginners. It only costs 8 Luminous Tides to do a 10-pull in this Convene and it has its pity set at 50 pulls rather than the usual 80, which makes it more cost-effective than other Character Convenes.
Moreover, the Novice Convene features a fantastic selection of characters (two of whom are top-tier units). You’ll be able to target a specific 5★ character by pulling in the Beginner’s Selection Convene later on, which means you only have to worry about the random 5★ character from the Novice Convene while rerolling.
As you can see, the best 5★ Characters to reroll for in Wuthering Waves are Calcharo (one of the best Main DPS units in the game) and Verina (the best Support in the game).
Meta characters aside, feel free to pull for whatever character you want! After all, every character in Wuthering Waves can be viable as long as you put them in a team that synergizes well and familiarize yourself with their skill kit and mechanics.
TIP: Ideally, you’ll get either Calcharo or Verina on your Novice Convene pulls, then target the other one you didn’t manage to get on the Beginner’s Choice Convene, where you can freely choose which of the five characters listed above is featured as the Guaranteed Pull.
Step #5.1: Swap Out Emails in the Login Page
If you don’t like the characters you got, go back to your Title Screen by clicking Terminal (i.e. Game Menu) > Exit > Confirm.
Here, you’ll be able to switch between email accounts you’ve created during Step #1, then proceed straight to Step #2.
NOTE: Although there is an option to delete your account’s progress, you’ll have to wait 30 days before it takes effect, which makes it practically useless if you’re trying to reroll.
Step #5.2: Change Servers
If you prefer not to make multiple emails for your rerolling, then you can simply change servers using the same account from the Title Screen.
Making a character on another server allows you to restart the whole rerolling process without starting from Step #1 (making multiple emails), but do note that your ping might suffer if you select a server your region is incompatible with!
Is Rerolling in Wuthering Waves Worth It?
Absolutely not. Considering how tedious and time-consuming rerolling in Wuthering Waves is compared to other gachas and the fact that you’ll be able to target at least one 5★ Character with the Beginner’s Choice Convene anyway, we don’t recommend it.
However, if you’re a hardcore gamer who doesn’t mind spending a few hours and maybe even days trying to get the characters you want, then may RNGesus bless your pulls!
