A couple of days ago, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 7 teaser in which the company mentioned the ‘Ultra’ experience and the ‘Galaxy Ultra’ phone. Some people assumed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra is coming because of that, but as we thought, that won’t be the case. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra will not launch, Samsung is sticking with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 branding.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra isn’t happening, as expected
It seemed far-fetched from the get-go, for a reason. Samsung was only attempting to hype up its upcoming launch event, as highlighted by Max Jambor, a tipster. He went to X to confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra is definitely not coming. ‘Ultra’ experience does not equal ‘Ultra’ branding.
In that teaser, Samsung showed us a silhouette of the upcoming device. That was not all that revealing, but the company also hinted at larger displays, as expected. Based on recent information from a tipster, the device will feature an 8.2-inch main panel and will have slightly thinner bezels than the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition phone from last year.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch in early July. Samsung still hasn’t announced the launch event, but that confirmation is expected soon. Early July was mentioned in a recent report, as the event will allegedly take place in New York.

Having said that, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, its flip sibling. The Galaxy Z Flip FE, aka Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, is also expected to arrive during that event. The company’s first tri-fold will likely follow later in the year. That phone will likely be exclusive to Korea and possibly China.
We’ve exclusively revealed the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 quite some time ago. That device will resemble its predecessor in terms of design, but it will be bigger, thinner, and lighter, it would seem.
