Galaxy A25 & A16 Just Got Better: One UI 7 Update Rolling Out Now

Samsung is continuing to roll out the One UI 7 update, which has been delayed many times before. The South Korean tech giant first updated flagship models such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Now, it’s the turn of mid-range devices, and the Galaxy A25 and Galaxy A16 4G appear to be receiving the update.

Galaxy A25 begins receiving One UI 7; Galaxy A16 gets the update in more countries

The One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A25, which is also sold in the US, has finally started rolling out. However, US users must wait longer since the update is available only for South Korean units. We can expect it to spread to more regions in the coming days.

The One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A25 is approximately 3.5GB in size and comes with firmware version A256NKSU5CYE2. It also brings the May 2025 security patch, which addresses system vulnerabilities.

Well, things are a bit different for the Galaxy A16 4G. The device received the update in South Korea a few weeks ago. Now, the new version has started rolling out in countries like Iraq and Malaysia.

The new update comes bearing firmware version A165FXXU3BYE6 and has a download size of around 3.1GB. It also includes the May 2025 security patch, which addresses security flaws in the system.

Users won’t have to wait too long for the One UI 8 update

Samsung was quite late with the One UI 7. The South Korean brand typically rolls out new One UI versions in October or November. However, the current version didn’t go as planned, and users had to wait until April 7.

Fortunately, it looks like this kind of delay won’t happen with One UI 8. The company has been internally testing the new version for a while and plans to launch public beta testing for flagship models in June. The final version will be available in the summer with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
