There’s a lot of excitement around the OnePlus 13T, but I have some bad news.
Last week, I wrote about how I hoped this Pixel 9a rival would get a UK and US launch, but I was concerned that the mid-range Android phone wouldn’t be allowed to spread its wings.
Now I have a not-so-positive update on this matter. I reached out to OnePlus to get some clarification on the situation, specifically as to whether the 13T would launch outside of China, where it was unveiled.
OnePlus said: “Currently, we have no plans to launch the OnePlus 13s in Europe. That being said, we have noted the interest in the product from our European users, and we will keep it in mind as we make product launch decisions going forward.”
To explain, the statement mentions a different handset, the 13s and not the 13T. Well, this appears to be the exact same phone, but for the Indian market, so I assume we’re talking about the same device effectively.
I’ve asked OnePlus for further information, including US plans, but have not heard back yet.
The second half does leave the metaphorical carrot dangling, particularly as using ‘Europe’ in this kind of context often includes the UK. And perhaps journalists reaching out with interest will also prompt internal discussions.

OnePlus
As I wrote last week, the 13T (which was rumoured to be called the 13 mini) could be the best mid-range phone of 2025, starting with its attractive design. It’s like the Pixel 9a and iPhone 16e (both pretty ugly in my opinion) came together and made something beautiful.
It’s also got some impressive specs, with a whopping 6260mAh battery, thanks to silicon-carbon technology.
OnePlus has also fitted it with the flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, two 50Mp rear cameras and speedy 80W fast charging.
If the price is right – it’s CNY3,399 in China, which converts to around £349 or $465 – then it could be a knockout success.
I’ll update you if and when OnePlus provides any further information.
