It works by holding down the unlock button for just a few seconds on your car keys while you stand outside of the car.

As if by magic, your windows, and in some cases your sun roof, will slowly roll down.

Amazingly, if you want to put them back up, you just press the lock button – meaning motorists can secure their vehicles.

LeaseCar revealed the tip but warned the feature may differ depending on on your vehicle.

The motoring group told Express.co.uk: “Standing outside your vehicle, hold down the unlock button on your car keys and the windows will start to unwind.

“Some cars may differ – so try holding down the unlock button once, releasing it, and then pressing down again to activate this remote feature.”

But drivers must ensure they don’t accidentally hold down their key fob buttons when they are not intending to.

This could make their motors an easy target for thieves.

Jake Fisher, senior director of auto testing at Consumer Reports, previously said: “These features can be fantastic if the owner understands the sequence of key-fob button pushes to access them.

“But they can also be frustrating or even harmful if these features are triggered accidentally.”
