The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was announced quite recently, and many people seem to be wondering if it offers an SD card slot. Well, a microSD card slot, that is. The answer is… no, it does not, unfortunately.
Samsung smartphones were well-known for offering expandable storage… for a long time. Samsung decided to change its practices, however, and we haven’t really seen expandable storage in the S series smartphone for a long time. The last phones that offered it were the Galaxy S20 series devices back in 2020.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge does not offer expandable storage aka SD card slot
The Galaxy S25 Edge may not offer an SD card slot, but it does come with two storage options. You can choose between 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. Not many people need more than that, so… there you have it.
Samsung decided to ditch both 128GB and 1TB storage options for this device, which kind of makes sense. The only phone in the series that does offer 128GB of storage is the Galaxy S25, the most affordable model.
If you do realize that one of these two storage options suits you, this phone does have a lot to offer. It’s immensely thin, which is its main selling point. That thinness does affect its battery capacity, though, so you’re getting a 3,900mAh unit here. It will be interesting to see how it will keep up with this large display.
The phone has a large display, and two rear cameras
Speaking of which, a 6.7-inch panel sits on the front of the phone, and AMOLED one. The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy fuels the device, while Samsung included 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM on the inside.
A 200-megapixel main camera is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera on the back. Unlike its siblings, this phone does come with “only” two cameras on the back. We did talk about the Galaxy S25 Edge specs at length, if you’re interested. You can already pre-order the device too.
