City of Atlanta plans to buy more cars for airport people mover – Atlanta News First

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A multi-million dollar expansion to the plane train at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is now moving forward.

A new ordinance would spend $8.7 million to buy 29 new cars for the plane train.

The city council’s transportation committee had its first reading of the ordinance at its last meeting.

It’s part of a larger expansion plan at the world’s busiest airport, which includes a 700-foot extension of the plane train.
