Amazon is knocking $10 off of both models of the Chromecast with Google TV, right now. Both of which are still in stock. These are also the prices we saw during Black Friday and Cyber Monday last year.
These are some great prices on both Chromecast models, and definitely worth picking up.
Essentially, these two Chromecast with Google TV models are the same, aside from the resolution that they support. The HD version of course only supports up to 1080p resolution. While the 4K version is able to support, well, up to 4K resolution. Otherwise, they are both running on Google TV with the same processor and storage inside.
Google TV is a really great TV platform to pick up for your home. That’s because it is on Android TV, so all of your favorite apps are here. Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu and much more. But it also has a really good recommendation engine. I’ve found quite a few shows that I like, thanks to Google’s recommendations. It also has a Live tab if you subscribe to a streaming TV service like YouTube TV or Sling TV. Making it easier to see what’s on TV, without opening any apps.
The platform is also really easy to use. That’s especially important for your parents, who are a bit older and might need some help with things. Google makes it easy for them to find something to watch, so they don’t have to call you as often. And we can all appreciate that. Right?
