China-U.S. Energy Enterprise Cooperation Forum – Modern Diplomacy

A gathering of Chinese and U.S. entrepreneurs took place at a forum on Sunday, with the aim of promoting future cooperation in both traditional and new energy sectors. U.S. Congressman Al Green, who has represented Texas’ 9th congressional district since 2005, addressed the 10th China-U.S. Energy Enterprise Cooperation Forum and extended a warm welcome to Chinese energy entrepreneurs, inviting them to visit Texas and the United States.

Green emphasized the significance of people-to-people relationships in fostering strong bilateral ties between countries, in addition to the importance of energy collaboration. He viewed the forum as an opportunity to bridge any gaps that may exist and enhance business prospects between the two nations.

Zhang Guanjun, the secretary-general of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, expressed his hope that the forum would not only facilitate discussions on challenges and opportunities in the energy industries but also strengthen cooperation between Chinese and U.S. energy firms. The organizer reported that a total of 108 entrepreneurs from 65 Chinese and American companies participated in the half-day forum.
