Auto association gives outlook for 2023 – Marketscreener.com

BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – After a mixed past year for the automotive industry, the industry association VDA will give an outlook for 2023 this Wednesday (11:00 a.m.). The head of the German Association of the Automotive Industry, Hildegard Müller, will comment on the current issues and challenges for the industry, as the association announced. The previous day, representatives of the industry had met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for a top-level meeting – among other things, to discuss the further expansion of electromobility.

Last year, just under half a million battery-electric cars were newly put on the road, as the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) reported a few days ago. That was around a third more than the year before. By 2030, the German government wants around 15 million pure electric cars on the road./maa/DP/jha
