Assassin's Creed Mirage lands on iOS June 6 with 90-minute demo

Gamers on iOS will be able to dive into Assassin’s Creed Mirage soon, as the game will be released on June 6. The full game will cost $49.99 and it’s a universal purchase, Ubisoft says. This means you can pick it up on iPhone and play it on iPad without having to buy the game a second time.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was initially released on October 12, 2023 for PC and consoles. On PC, you can also play it through Ubisoft Connect if you have a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription. For iPhone users, paying for the game won’t have to be done right away. Ubisoft is releasing a 90-minute demo that will be playable for free on the day of the full game’s release. So you could check out the demo, and then if you like the game, make a one-time purchase for $50 to pick up the full game.

Ubisoft says this is the same experience as the console version. So there’s no difference in gameplay at all. Save for controls that have been revamped to utilize the touch screen. It gets even better though. The iOS version of the game will also support cross-play and cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect. If you started playing on console or PC, then that progress carries over to the iPhone version.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is only playable on certain iOS devices

If you’re aware of the Resident Evil games that were released on iOS, then you may have already suspected this. But Assassin’s Creed Mirage will only be playable on certain iOS devices. Specifically, the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPad Air and iPad Pro running on an M1 chip or later.

This is because those devices are the only ones Apple offers that meet the hardware requirements. You can pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the App Store starting today. Keep in mind it’s going to be a hefty file size though. So make some room for the download and install. Because you’re going to need it.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage follows the character of Basim who becomes part of the Assassin’s order and leaves his life as a thief behind. It takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and features a pretty sprawling map full of things to discover. Although, the map isn’t nearly as big as the ones from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
