Apple Watch Ultra 3 won't offer major hardware upgrades

Apple will probably debut the Apple Watch Ultra 3 during its fall event scheduled for September 2024. They will launch it alongside the iPhone 16 series. We are just a few months away from the official event. As we get closer to it, new pieces of leaks and rumors keep emerging. A new report making rounds of the internet claims that the forthcoming Watch Ultra 3 won’t have any major hardware upgrades, compared to its predecessor.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 might not get any hardware changes

One of the most reputed analysts in the Apple world, Ming-Chi Kuo, reported back in October that Apple has no plans to launch the Watch Ultra 3 this year. The same source has recently shared a new report claiming that Watch Ultra 3 will launch. He further says that those expecting major hardware upgrades on the watch will likely be disappointed, as it’s predicted to have no major hardware changes.

So if you were using the Watch Ultra 2 and by chance if you think of upgrading to the Ultra 3, you may proceed to cancel the plan. He didn’t say much about the upcoming gadget though. We may still get to see some minor hardware or design changes. We will still have to wait a bit more to gain more information regarding the upcoming device.

Apple Watch SE has a strong possibility of launching this year

The third-generation Apple Watch SE could launch in September 2024, which falls in line with the two-year upgrade cycle for the Watch SE series. Anyway, we still don’t know whether Apple will release the successor to Watch Series 9 this year. Reports indicate Apple is developing the successor, but a release this year is uncertain. Sources state that Apple may introduce it in either 2024 or 2025. The company’s new iPhone 16 devices are expected to arrive in September, by the way.
