Apple 'Let Loose' event live updates: New iPad Pro, iPad Air, Pencil Pro, and accessories – The Indian Express

Apple is holding its next big event today to unveil the new iPads, hinting at a revival of the tablet market, as the industry hopes it might be. The iPad, as a product category, has had a few rough quarters with sales slowing due to the lack of new iPads. Apple was once bullish on the iPad; however, the device didn’t go as far as Cupertino hoped to see. Over the years, as the iPad matured, the lineup got more confusing. This made the iPad far from what it was originally meant to be.

Hopefully, the iPad will get a reboot at Apple’s “Let Loose” event as many had been anticipating for months. One of the biggest changes coming to this year’s iPad lineup is a clear focus on making the high-end iPad Pro function more like a laptop. There’s a chance Apple will put a lot of emphasis on making accessories shine at the event. We are expecting to see a new Magic Keyboard case and a new Pro-grade Apple Pencil stylus, designed keeping the iPad Pro in mind. If the rumours are true, the new iPad Pros could feature OLED screens, thinner bodies, a correctly placed front camera, and a brand-new AI-ready M4 chipset.

We may also see changes to the iPad Air, with reports suggesting it might come in a large 12.9-inch screen size for the very first time. The screen size will match that of the high-end iPad Pro, but the internals will be mid-range, of course.

But in a true sense, the software is key to making the iPad relevant again. At the event, Apple could give the first glimpse at what its AI team is doing to make refine everyday experience by using the Apple Pencil. If that happens, the “Let Loose” event would be clearly about the Pencil and AI.
