Galaxy Ring 2 Might Not Arrive as Soon as You Think, Here's Why

Samsung launched its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, last year. While it was a good start, rumors from earlier this year suggested that Samsung would launch its next iteration this year. However, a new report suggests that Samsung may not launch the Galaxy Ring 2 this year, and there’s a solid reason behind it.

Samsung could push back the launch of the Galaxy Ring 2

According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung has just begun working on the Galaxy Ring 2. While the report doesn’t include technical details, it mentions that the device is still in an early development stage.

Given the details, it’s very unlikely that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Ring 2 in 2025. So, if you’ve been waiting for an improved finger-worn wearable, you might have to wait a little longer. Now, the big question is, when might the Galaxy Ring 2 release?

Although there are no rumors or official statements about this, the launch of the Galaxy Ring 2 seems more feasible in 2026. That’s when we expect Samsung to launch the One UI 8-powered Galaxy S26 series. So, you can expect the next-gen smart ring alongside the next Samsung flagship smartphone or after its launch.

For the uninitiated, Samsung launched a new Galaxy Ring in South Korea last month. It wasn’t a next-gen product but a limited-edition, dual-tone version of the current one, launched to celebrate the Galaxy S25 Edge’s launch.

The next-gen smart ring could see these improvements

Speaking of improvements, Samsung has a very limited scope given the tiny nature of the product. So, you can expect to see more colors and improvements to the designs and the charging department. Samsung could also improve AI to help the Galaxy Ring 2 offer better Samsung Health features at launch. Moreover, there is information about the specs of the Galaxy Ring 2.
