iPhone 16 has been on high demand in various regions as Apple once again has its premium iPhone models in the top 5 of the best-selling charts.

Apple is once again leading the market charts with all the iPhone 16 models in the top 10.
Apple’s latest iPhone 16 series have taken the top three spots in the best-selling phone list for the Q1 2025 period. In fact, you have five iPhones making the top 10 list, which even includes one of the budget Xiaomi phones.
The details come via a Counterpoint Research data this week, which gives iPhone 16 the laurel for being the best-selling smartphone in the early parts of 2025. You also have the iPhone 16 Pro models, the older iPhone 15 and Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 flagship model in the mix.
Top 10 Best-Selling Phones Detailed
The firm has shared a list of top 10 phones that have the iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones and one Redmi phone.
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 15
- Galaxy A16 5G
- Galaxy A06
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Redmi 14C 4G
- Galaxy A55 5G
- iPhone 16 Plus
As you can see here, Apple is once again the undisputed leader in the premium segment. The latest iPhone 16, 16 Plus, and both the 16 Pro models have made it to the top 10. The report says the iPhone 16 did well in markets like Japan, Middle East and Africa thanks to Apple’s favoured pricing strategy.
The iPhone 16 Pro faced some rivalry from Huawei in China but in general, their demand accounted for a large chunk of Apple’s sales. More importantly, the report claims the new iPhone 16e model got a decent start since its launch in March 2025 and already made it to sixth spot for the month.
Samsung has its share of models on the list, where you have the Galaxy S25 Ultra at number 7, and above that you have the mid-range Galaxy A16 5G and budget Galaxy A06 models.
Redmi 14C 4G is the only model that stopped the list from becoming an obvious duopoly and the budget phone has shown its mettle in the emerging markets. Xiaomi has tried to move into the premium segment but data like these suggest its value-minded products are still the way to go.
These industry reports have become fairly predictable these days, with two brands holding the fort. There is a strong core of products from brands that have limited their availability and their growth cannot be ignored even if the giants eat all the cake.
