Keith McGilvery is saying goodbye to Hartford Fox affiliate WTIC after eight years.
In a social media post, McGilvery said that being a weekday morning anchor and reporter on the Fox 61 team has been “the realization of my childhood dream.”
“For nearly 8 years I’ve worked to get our day started as an authentic and welcoming voice with the news and information that keeps our families safe, informed about our world, and makes us the great community we are,” he wrote. “Together we’ve shared stories of heart and hope, heartbreak and loss, opportunity and courage, and it would not have happened without all of you.”
He joined the station in 2017. Before that, he worked at WCAX in Burlington, Vermont.
