PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A person was hit by a vehicle and killed at a busy Phoenix intersection Saturday.
Around 8 p.m., officers responded to 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road for reports of a person in the road. When they arrived, they found someone with obvious signs of trauma.
No information about the victim has been released.
Police are currently interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence to determine what led up to this incident. They did not say whether any drivers involved stayed at the scene or left before officers arrived.
Bethany Home Road is closed in both directions between 19th and 21st avenues while police investigate.
