In Loving Memory of Tammey Stacey
Tammey Stacey, a beautiful soul, entered into Heaven on Easter Sunday, a day of resurrection and hope, as Jesus welcomed her home, at the age of 63. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, an amazing sister, and a true friend to many. Her heart was as big as her smile, and her kindness touched everyone blessed to know her.
Tammey was born on April 2nd, 1962 in Wadena, MN to Gene and Ramona (Gruchow) Malmskog. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Sebeka High School, later earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bemidji State University, she then returned to BSU to complete her degree in addiction studies as an LADC (License Alcohol and drug counselor).
With a heart for service, Tammey spent her career helping others through her work at Northern Pines Mental Health, Cass County Health and Human Services, and Create Mental Health. Her compassion, humility, and strength made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Tammey was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona (Gruchow) Malmskog, her brother Michael Malmskog and all of her grandparents. Above all, Tammey loved her family fiercely. She is survived by her 2 sons, Jeff (Maggie) Stacey and Daniel (Madisyn) Stacey. Her precious grandchildren: Mya, McKenna, Moreigh, Michael, Henry, Lincoln and one more grandbaby soon to be welcomed into the world. Her sisters Judy Malmskog, Cathie Hofich and her brother Gene Malmskog Jr. and all of her nieces and nephews!
Tammey lived her life by faith, with love and humility at her core. She was a constant source of support, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her presence brought warmth and comfort, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void. Tammey’s legacy is one of love, kindness and service. She will be forever missed and always remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
