20 Cars Damage Lot With Reckless Driving: Northbrook PD Blotter – Patch


NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

  • Nursultan Soldatbekov, of Chicago, is accused of improper lane usage, driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 12:51 a.m. March 16, at Dundee and Waukegan roads. A court date of April 17 was assigned.
  • Hector Ceballos-Torres, of Cicero, is accused of having an expired registration, driving while license suspended, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:59 a.m. March 16, at Dundee and Midway roads. A court date of April 17 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Aleksandr Volar, of Wheeling, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 9:58 p.m. March 18, in the 4000 block of Commercial Avenue. Police had responded to a parking lot of a commercial building there because of a report of several cars recklessly driving in the lot. As police arrived, they saw approximately 20 cars skidding around the parking lot, spinning their tires. Several of the cars fled from the officers, but police stopped one driver, Volar, who as driving a 2018 BMW M5. While speaking to Volar, the officers noticed the cars had damaged the blacktop of the parking lot with their reckless driving. A court date of April 3 was assigned.

WARRANT SERVICE

Mark Joseph, of Chicago, had a warrant out of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear in domestic court, and was arrested at 1:24 p.m. March 20, in the 2200 block of Chestnut Street. He was taken to the Cook County Jail and assigned a court date of March 21.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

The staff at a retail store in the 900 block of Willow Road reported that on March 15, two females had come into the store and stole $1,349.77 worth of cosmetics using one of the store’s shopping carts and walking past the cash registers.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Windsor Lane resident reported at 9:23 a.m. March 17, someone had gained access to his email associated with his bank institution. The person was able to steal 12,000 credit card points illegally from the account without his knowledge. The complainant also said he had been receiving spam phone calls from someone wanting him to transfer some of his cryptocurrency into another account.

BANK FRAUD

A Heritage Drive resident reported at 3:35 p.m. March 17, someone had gained access to her bank account. The person was able to transfer $11,274.36 from the complainant’s account to another banking institution without her knowledge. The bank was working with the complainant to get the funds returned.

GRAFFITI

During the overnight hours of March 18, someone had spray-painted graffiti through the side of the railroad bridge on Grant Road.
