Rain has been ongoing across western portions of the Delta for the past several hours, and will continue over these same areas, and increase across the entire Delta today. Western portions of the Delta will have the highest threat for flash flooding, where a Flash Flood Warning is already in effect for Chicot County in Arkansas, and Bolivar, Sunflower, and Washington Counties in Mississippi until 10 am. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 1 pm Thursday for the majority of the Delta.

Rainfall totals will range between 2-5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible, especially areas along and west of the Miss. River.

Rain will cotninue into tonight and early Thursday morning before exiting.

We clear out Friday, and temperatures will warm back into the 80’s for highs through the weekend and first part of next week. This will be short-lived as another shot of cooler air arrives by mid-week. We look to remain dry Friday through the weekend and into next week…God bless
