Struggling telecom operator Vodafone Idea has upped the ante in the prepaid segment. At a time when a debate rages on fixing a floor price, Vodafone Idea has doubled the data benefits under some of its prepaid plans.

As per Vodafone Idea’s website, its Rs 249, Rs 399 and Rs 599 plans will now offer 3 GB of data every day against the earlier limit of 1.5 GB data.

The Rs 249 plan comes with 28 days validity while Rs 399 has 56 days validity. The Rs 599 plan offers subscribers 84 days validity. All these plans offer 100 SMSes a day and unlimited call facility as well.

However, this is a limited period offer.

Jio currently has three similar plans: Rs 199 with 28 days validity, Rs 399 with 56 days validity and Rs 555 plan with 84 days validity. Though priced slightly lower, all these plans only offer 1.5 GB data per day.

Airtel, on the other hand, offers Rs 249, Rs 279, Rs 399 and Rs 598 plans that offer 1.5 GB data per day along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.
