Chennai: Leading smartphone brands have come out with interesting updates. Vivo said its V20 has registered record-breaking preorders -highest for any V series smartphone. It said more than 100,000 pre-bookings had been received in just six days of the product launch.

Nipun Marya, director- brand strategy, vivo India, said, “we are delighted to witness this response to our latest flagship in the V series. It is a testimony to our relentless focus on customer-centric approach.”

Oppo has launched a self-developed ‘high-precision positioning algorithm’ which will enable the mobile phone navigation system to provide accurate location within a one meter radius.

Levin Liu, Oppo vice-president and head of the company’s research institute, said, “we are implementing its high-precision RTK positioning technology to smartphones and we believe this technology will benefit a wide range of uses”.
