OnePlus 9

The OnePlus 8T launched just a week ago on October 14th, and already the rumors are flying in about its successor, the OnePlus 9. Rumored to sport the codename ‘Lemonade’, the OnePlus 9 is believed to be launching during March 2021, even early than last year’s OnePlus 8 Series.

As you might expect, very little is known about the OnePlus 9 at this point other than its name, codename, and possible launch month (March). Despite this, we can already make a number of likely assumptions on the hardware we can expect the OnePlus 9 to feature. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist nor a fortune teller to figure out that the OnePlus 9 will almost certainly sport the as-yet-unannounced Snapdragon 875 processor. We can also expect to see at least 8GB of RAM for the base model, and perhaps up to 16GB for the higher-specced variant.

The big question is if the OnePlus 9 Series will also include a Pro model. Unfortunately, it’s not been mentioned as yet, so we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground on that one. No doubt the serial leakers will be on the case, posting their discoveries on Twitter and other social media sites.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries an OPPO Find X2 Pro in his pockets, a Galaxy Tab S5e in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
