LEOMINSTER — A man sustained non-life threatening injuries Thursday evening after being stabbed, according to the Leominster Police Department.

Leominster Police Lt. Richard Kinney said officers were dispatched to Carter Park at 6:27 p.m. Thursday. The suspect, he said, is a female.

“The victim walked up one of the cruisers. We had a car stopped. He walked over and told an officer he’d just been stabbed in an argument,” Kinney said.

Kinney said just the victim sustained a minor cut on his forearm. Both the victim and suspect were transported to UMass Memorial – HealthAlliance Hospital, though it was unclear why. The identities of both individuals, both in their 30s, have not been released.

An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, according to Lt. Kinney. No charges have been filed.
