ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) — Registered Enterprise voters are deciding on the sale of alcohol on Sundays.

According to the city’s Communication Director Jason Wright, the legislative act is up for vote for a couple of reasons.

The public brought the issue to the city council’s attention and its economic impact on potential businesses that would want to sell alcohol
on Sunday’s.

“Instead of the council deciding for themselves which they have the authority to do, we sent it through the legislature and we put it to a vote of the people,” said Enterprise Communications Director Jason Wright.

“If they want it, they’ll vote for it. If they don’t, they’ll vote against it.”

If the law passes, the city will hold a public hearing to decide when to start Sunday alcohol sales.
