Samsung Electronics vice chairman Lee Jae-yong visited Gumi Plant in North Gyeongsang Province on March 3 to encourage employees as the plant has reported four confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.

Lee looked around the smartphone production lines at Gumi Plant and had a tea time with the employees. Lee listened to the employees and gave pep talks to them during the meeting.

“I am very grateful to all of you for working diligently at production lines despite the spread of COVID-19,” Lee said. “Even though it is an unprecedented crisis, your devotion gives me hope and courage. The management and I will place top priority on your health and safety. Let’s work together to overcome this crisis and meet again soon without wearing masks.”
