For the last couple of months, there have been rumours that Samsung is going to launch a toned-down version of a foldable phone. However, the report that surfaced online on this matter back in June suggested that its launch had been delayed to 2021.

Now, the buzz around the device seems to be coming back as a report by Sammobile suggests that the company is soon going to launch the Galaxy Z Flip Lite in larger quantities than earlier foldable models.

The report claims that the alleged Galaxy Z Flip Lite may make use of the UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) technology but is working on researching and developing for the purpose of lowering the costs of UTG. “UTG will probably be included in all of Samsung’s foldables moving forward, Lite/budget or not,” adds the report.

This claim, however, contradicts an earlier claim for the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite, which was reportedly being developed using a plastic display.

As per other online reports, the Galaxy Fold Lite was said to be approximately priced at $900 as compared to the Samsung Galaxy Fold that costs $1,980.

More information about the alleged Galaxy Z Lite is expected to come forward in the coming months.
